Little box house project.

The aim of this project is to distribute a large number of tiny houses in various areas throughout the city in the month of December. The project is directly influenced by Guerilla Art. The houses will be made in clay, some will be decorated and some will be glazed. The project will be a collaboration between various institutions around the city. Making has begun in Cork Prison and as part of culture night , more will be made in the Ceramics Department in CIT Crawford College of Art and Design (Sharman Crawford Street). Some schools will also be participating and any other suggestions are welcome. Each house will have an email address underneath it and the hope is that the receiver will email us to tell us where the little box house has ended up. We are also on twitter so we hope to generate dialogue there. At the moment the project is in its infancy, but we hope that various working groups will bring both volume and variety. Dialogue is key to the project and through social media we hope that people will start engaging in any way possible. This is an open ended project. There is no specific outcome intended. Let’s see what happens….

The following is a series of images on the project.
